After three days at work missing two windy days too :( I was lucky not to be working today and as we had been invited to lunch at my Dads we decided to bike :) We set off just past 10 and headed out to Trimley and along Candlet Lane to the Kirton Road which takes you to the BT tower at Martlesham passing lovely yellow rape fields and bluebell woods with hares running about too :) We had to cross the busy A12 at a roundabout and went along the Foxhall Road and to Rushmere. We biked along the road closure at Bent Lane I have been working on before heading to Westerfield and to my sisters for a cuppa and catch - up and to pay for our Ipswich v Norwich play-off tickets - come on you Blues !!! :) It was then onto my Dad and Shirleys for fish and chips - um :) After a couple of hours it was time to head off through Ipswich town centre to the lovely waterfront. Then up the hill to the Nacton back roads by which time it had started to rain lightly :( We stopped for a coffee from Mags new flask overlooking the River Orwell near Levington Church - we spotted 9 deer here ! - before biking round the creek past the marina and Loompit lake and home along the tree lined tracks - very pretty :) So we were out seven and a half hours covering nearly 38 miles and am a bit saddle sore but we love our bikes :)
